Genoa Train Station

There are several trains in the morning, but as it is a ninety minute ride from Genoa to the northernmost town in the Cinque Terre (Monterosso), you kind of need to get on one of the three earliest, or your day in CT will be pretty short.

There are trains from Piazza Principe at 7:11, 7:47 and 7:53, arriving in Monterosso at 8:40, 9:02 and 9:28, respectively. The next trains after that are at 9:23 and 9:47, arriving at 11:02 and 11:16.

You can look at the schedules at www.trenitalia.com. Just a hint, don't try to put in a date too far in advance, the schedules aren't fully loaded too far ahead. Although there are some changes by season, for the most part the schedules stay fairly constant, so if you look at the schedule for a day next week you'll get a good idea.
