Ironmen Posted July 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2010 We just booked the royal dolphin swim for our two boys in Cozumel. What is the normal cost of a taxi to the park? Best place to catch the taxi from when we get to the port.
green eyed lady Posted August 1, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2010 We just did the Royal Dolphins swim this past Thursday. It was awesome! :D We took a cab - not even 10 minute ride from the port. It was $10 for the 4 of us. Just walk out to the taxi stand and they will call the next waiting taxi for you. There are plenty of taxis waiting to take you back also. :)
MrsPyab Posted August 1, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 1, 2010 Hi there - do you know whether adults have to purchase and participate in dolphin swim with kids aged 9 and 12 ? thanks.
green eyed lady Posted August 1, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2010 Not sure what the age minimum is but I know you can pay a fee to get in the park and just be an observer. You can check their website for the age limits. The company is dolphin discovery. I would think 9 and 12 could do it on their own as long as they can swim. Although you wear life vests you need to be able to swim out until she tells you to stop so the dolphins can come to you for the foot push. :D Well they don't actually have to "swim" they just have to be able to get themselves out there ;)

wadethegringo Posted September 27, 2010 #6 Share Posted September 27, 2010 • MINIMUM HEIGHT 4 FEET TALL and MINIMUM AGE 8 YEARS. Must meet both requirements. • For the safety and comfort of guests and the dolphins, children 4' to 4'7" and ages 8 to 11 years old must be accompanied by one participating, paying adult per child. • If children are 12 years old and over, they may swim on their own, but must have an adult present at the dolphin facility. • Children 4'8" and over must have an adult present at the dolphin facility. pjpurple6 Posted September 27, 2010 #7 Share Posted September 27, 2010 $16 Entrance fee to get in the park, and cozumel insider has a 2.00 off printable coupon. Bring your camera also, it is a very pretty place.
