Short Asia/Dubai Cruises

Recommended Posts

I was looking to fly to Dubai and cruise around there then fly onto Asia for another 4/5 day cruise around the area ( not overly fussed where). When l looked at the RC ones (which l fancied) it said these cruises were sold in the main to Asian holiday makers(local to the area) and the language spoken would reflect this majority. What l want to know is has anyone done these cruises and if so how did you manage with the language etc...were all the shows in Asian and so on.... thanks

I think you are getting confused between the two cruises - Brilliance out of Dubai is 75% populated with Brits utilising the wonderful direct flgihts that Emirates run from many regional airports such as Newcastle or Glasgow making it a very popular cruise easy for Brits. The rest are ex-pats and a few Australians/Russians and interpid Americans. There are only a handful of local Emirartis on board.

Legend however is being heavily targeted at the Asian market - the Asians love to gamble and basically use these short cruises for this. They were initally said to be 'immersion' cruises which meant that everything was going to be in the local language first, more asian food and entertainment but on the few reviews that have been posted it appears that this is not so and English is still the first language.
