electioncruiser Posted August 2, 2010 #12 Share Posted August 2, 2010 My wife and I watched it leave yesterday also, on 3 Galveston cams. The third camera is called "The Gulf" camera, located a top of the Commodore hotel. It faces the gulf, and wife is convinced that almost an hour after the ship begins her journey out of the bay, she can see a small white "dot" move past the "Flagship" hotel out into the gulf. I can't argue with her, she's been watching the Conquest leave weekly for a long while now, as she is waiting her turn in October, with her mother. We were on the Conquest 2 years ago. Looking forward to the "live" posts from the Conquest. I know it will be a great trip! Yesterday the ocean looked almost smooth as glass! And a beautiful day for a cruise! Enjoy! Enjoy! there is a huge bunch of us cruisers know as Carnival Crazies that also watch the Conquest arrive and depart each Sunday. We have been doing this for 2 yrs or so. some of us even longer. There will be about 200 of us sailing together Sept 26th on the Conquest.
