Sailkeywest Posted August 6, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2010 Hallo :) Hubby and I are going to take a cruise out of Vancouver next May and I am feverishly searching for how soon to start bidding on a 4* Hotel on Priceline. Many say to start as soon as your plans are definite (ours are now) but I am wonderring if all the 4* Hotels would release rooms this early in the game. Does anyone have any experience with this? I posted this in the Vancouver forums because I think bidding for hotels in Vancouver is a little different based on 'cruise season' rather than bidding on hotels say, in the middle of someplace else. Thank you, in advance, for any insight :)
Putterdude Posted August 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2010 You could try now...but I would wait until the new year and maybe even leave it as late as 60 before your cruise. Certainly if you bid now or even in January I would set a limit as to high you will go and if you don't get the room at your price then I would back off for a few week or even a month before trying again. Sailkeywest Posted August 8, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted August 8, 2010 Thank you for taking the time to reply, Putterdude. I think that I am going to take your advice and wait a bit (even though my excitement is making me want to say "Now, NOW!" :)
