nyrlieht Posted August 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2010 Hi there, I was wondering if there are any small cruises from neighboring countries to St. Petersburg. My husband and I were considering doing the Royal Caribbean Scandinavia/Baltic cruise, but would rather explore the cities on our own for longer than a day a piece. However, we can not get a visa to Russia, unless it's from a cruise. Any thoughts would be appreciated -- thanks! Adele
whatnot Posted August 9, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2010 We are doing a small ship cruise on Sea Dream Yacht Club in late June of 2011. It is a 112 passenger yacht. Our cruise leaves from Stockholm on June 29. We visit Visby, Gotland; Saarema(excuse spelling) Estonia; Tallin, Estonia; St Petersburg for 3 days; Helsinki, Finland; and an island off of Finland; a cruise through the Swedish archipeligo; and back to Stockholm. Check out their cruises!
alexandra cruiser Posted August 9, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2010 Can fly to St.Petersburg,,or Moscow,,,and go to small cities along river,,,and stay 2,3 nites in each big city...nice way to see the countryside...hope the fires let up,,but it was one of our favorite river cruises....just a thought,,,also, only 120 passengers,or so, and doesnt overwhelm ports like large cruise ships...if you want, can fly in early as part of cruise extension...check it out..we used Viking,,but others go there to.:)
