jfadra Posted August 10, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2010 Hi all....My family will be cruising with us on Dawn Princess in October and we would like to know if they have a Fancy Dress Party or Contest for the Children. Don't want to take extra clothes if not needed. Jfadra.:)
johndon Posted August 10, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2010 Hi jafadra I cannot answer your question specifically about fancy dress comps for the kids but we were on the "Dawn" for the Xmas cruise last Xmas to New Zealand and there were over 400 kids of all age groups on the ship. They were kept that busy with the kids programs that we hardly saw the kids. One activity that was very popular was the ginger bread house making competion. About 80 ginger bread houses were made and the best three were judged. The kitchens supplied all the ingredients for the kids (with some help from Mums and Dads) to make the houses and it was hilarious. The kids had more icing and chocolate over their faces and hands than was on the houses so it wasnt only fun for the kids but for us oldies watching. Princess seem to run excellent kids programs which is marvellous for the kids and the Mums and Dads. Five of us on on the "Dawn" also in October leaving Sydney 1st October for Fiji. Anyway, have a good cruise. John
