Wine packages on Rhapsody

Just wondering if anyone who has travelled on ROS pre-ordered any of the wine packages, if so how does it work and the price. Also how much are the soft drink cards.

We did a 14 night NZ cruise on Rhapsody early 2009. We booked through a US agent.

 

We didn't actually order a wine package, so I'm not sure on the price but a wine package was included as part of the booking, 6 bottles from memory. I was a bit skeptical that it would actually be delivered because we had booked through a US agent, but sure enough 6 bottles were sitting on the dresser when we got to the cabin.

Do they deliver the wine to your cabin? Then you can take it to the restaurant with you? Is that how it works?

We've we've cruised on Rhapsody of the Seas a few times and on every cruise we have pre-ordered online our Wine Package.

They are great value. They don't deliver the order to your cabin, it is held at the Eidelweiss Restaurant. Should you decide to eat at the Windjammer buffet as well they will deliver it to you there.

On the occasions we didn't drink the whole bottle they would either keep it for you for the next night or let you take it back to you cabin to finish it there. You can't drink it at any of the other bars around the ship.

There are 3 packages available, Gold, Silver and Platinum. Take a look at the RCCL website. We are cruising again in November on Rhapsody and I note that you can't pre-order until 2 months prior to sailing.
