Why are Inside Cabins More Expensive than OV???

Cruising on Freedom Sept 5 (1st cruise). I've been checking the prices and I've found one price drop for us and now the prices are going up. We have an ocean view cabin. What I don't understand is for the past week or more the least expensive cabins on the ship (the inside cabins) have been bumped up $50 MORE than an OV! Heck, a person that was considering an inside cabin could pay an extra $30 and have a Balcony!

You experienced cruisers -- why would Carnival be doing this? And should I just give up looking for a price reduction now for OceanView?

checking Freedom, 05 September 2010, I see:

FunSelect: Interior 4B $499 Oceanview 6B $579

Past guest: Interior 4C $429 Oceanview 6B $479

You have to go another page or two thru the booking process to compare Inside and Oceanview within the same Booking type.
