Red Carpet Inn, Fort Lauderdale

We have booked the Red Carpet Inn in Fort Lauderdale for a pre-criuise night stay. We just want something clean and inexpensive with shuttle service. Reviews on this place are mixed. We would appreciate any feedback on this place, to see if we might need to try and find something else. Thanks!

Don't hesitate, book elsewhere! If you can, avoid SR84 altogether. ;)

Can you tell me what is wrong with SR84? Is it the area or the Red Carpet Inn?

A little of both. The hotels in that particular area are usually rented by the hour versus the night. There is a large volume of truck traffic 24 hours a day as its the main trucking route that leads into both the seaport and airport. The hotel you chose is not in the greatest shape. I wouldn't put my dogs in there for a night. Trust me, I'd pass on it.

As someone else who lives in the area I'll second what the above poster has said... I would pick something along SE 17th Street if I were you.
