alleauna Posted August 14, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2010 We checked in the Hampton Inn & Suites in Downtown Mobile AL about an hour or two early yesterday evening. It is beautiful, clean and has a very friendly staff. We had dinner in the Quizno's actually located inside the hotel. Our family of 5 is staying in a Queen Suite. We paid just under $169.85 total for the cruise package, which included free parking and a delicious breakfast buffet. They provide a shuttle for $5pp each way, but the port is within easy walking distance and that is what we plan to do. The best thing about staying here is that we woke up to the Elation pulling into port just outside of our hotel balcony this morning! We honestly couldn't have asked for better accomodations. :) Two super comfy queen beds. Not-so-comfy sofa bed. Desk, closet and vanity area (nice kitchen area with sink, fridge, microwave is in hallway on the left). Bathroom. View of the cruise port from our hotel balcony. (It is the concrete building in the background on the far right.)
