Booking Next Cruise On Board

Recommended Posts

We are looking at going on our next cruise in fall 2011 with my ILs. The question is should my ILs book it while they are on their cruise next week.

from what I have read if they book it we we get a $50 per stateroom credit (it is a 5 day cruise) and potentially a discount of $100 per person. Is this correct?

Also there would be 6 of us cruising my ILs, my DH, our 2 sons, and myself. If we put 4 of us in one room is the only option getting two bunk beds? or can we get a queen and a pull out couch? I am thinking we will get an outside room but nothing higher as we do not want a balcony.

TIA, my research time is really limited with them leaving in 5 days.

You will get a stateroom credit, but I Don't know of any discount that comes with it. You can combine it with C and A coupons though. Also, your in laws don't have to book a particular cruise. It is an open reservation. They can pick the cruise later.

In my experience, there is no discount for booking onboard, unless you are applying a balcony/suite discount because of your C&A level. There is usually a reduced deposit though. Also, not sure if this is still being done, but when I booked our upcoming cruise while aboard Mariner they had a two catagory upgrade special going on within the same cabin type. For example, you could book an E1 for the price of an E3, since both are balconies, but you couldn't book an K (inside) and get bumped to an I (outside).
