firstcruiser2010 Posted August 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2010 We are going to the Caymans, as well as other ports, on our Sept 12 Legend cruise. We live in Florida and have a "beach" sand and shell around our ingournd pool. We have indigenous plants around and it is very "beachy Florida" I am sure that you cannot bring any plants back on the ship but would like to know if you can buy them on the islands or seeds that we may grow to bring some of our island memories to our own beach. I would also like to brings some sand back in zip lock baggies which I have heard others have done. Any advice??? Thanks JB
drew sailbum Posted August 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2010 Import/Export of plants and/or seeds is fraught with regulations. Actually Cayman landscapers import many of their plants from Florida so you may find many of the plants are those you are already familiar with.
