1st time Monarch 5-30 HELP

:D I'll be on the Monarch 5-30 with my 11 year old niece.

She can't be around smoking. Is this a no-smoking ship? If not does anyone know if the guest rooms are no-smoking?

We have a inside guarantee room ( is there a safe in the room?)

Should I bring a universal outlet plug?

Is there a hair dryer and iron in each room?

Has anyone gone Snorkling on Catalina? Is it work doing?

I heard that breakfast is not served the last morning, is this true?

I'm sure I'll have more questions later.

Thank you all for any help you can provide.

There is no such thing as a non-smoking cruise ship for RCCL. There aren't any non-smoking decks or specific non-smoking cabins on the Monarch.

HOWEVER, outside on deck and in public rooms, there are designated smoking and non-smoking areas.

I don't remember a safe being in the cabin on Monarch, but you can double check at www.royalcaribbean.com and selecting the Monarch category you are in for a room description. No irons, and double check with the hair dryer. I always bring my own hair dryer because the small ones they provide are so weak.

You do not need one of those universal outlet plugs. You will definitely need an extension cord or multiple outlet things because there is only one 3 prong outlet next to the vanity in the cabin. No outlets in the bathroom itself.

Breakfast is served on the last morning in both the dining room and the Windjammer.

Have fun! The Monarch is a great old ship with lots to explore. :)
