Question about pullmans

G&TQ

Recommended Posts

We are planning to take my son on his first cruise but we have not cruised on Royal before. The "pullmans" are these the bunks that pull out of the wall or are the cots. If they are comming out of the wall is there some kind of bar or something that keeps you from rolling out of them? If they are cots is there really enough room to get around in a room with a cot in there?

Thanks!

The pullmans pull down from the wall or ceiling. There is a bar but it only goes half the length, not a problem if your child is tucked in and doesn't do a 360 in his sleep. Also, depending upon the ship/cabin, the pullman may be directly over your bed or over the sofa.

We were on the Explorer last December and my 5 year old slept in the pullman. It pulled out of the wall. There was a bar on it but our room steward also put a child bed rail on it for extra security. He was quite comfortable up there and we didn't worry at all.
