ChadB Posted August 21, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2010 Can't decide. Don't want to pay for suite on the Epic...a little too expensive. About the same price for 2 connecting balconies on epic or 2 BR Villa on Pearl for cruise in October. Family of 5, which has only cruised Carnival a handful of times. Finally done w Carnival. Really like the suite perks NCL seems to have but the entertainment and newness of Epic is hard to pass on. Also considering suite on RCL Liberty which has a better itnerary. Helllllp...thanks. orangegrove Posted August 21, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2010 That's tough to say. I loved the Pearl and have never been in a suite. II think every cruiser should try the Epic at least once. Now that we have I would love to try a suite. If you go with the Epic, book 2 non connecting rooms. You each gain a closet this way, which is more valuable than the connecting door. Just open the balcony divider between the 2 cabins and move btwn rooms that way.
jimc_usa Posted August 21, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2010 I have never stayed in a villa - but we met someone on board the Pearl who invited us to their villa. Personally - a villa wins everytime - unless you prefer a new ship (the Epic)
kidzrnseattle Posted August 21, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2010 The Pearl is a wonderful ship and entertainment was very good. The suite and its perks are fabulous. I would take an NCL suite on any ship vs ajoining rooms. Easy on and off ship. CAgney's for breakfast, bulters that will take care of your every need. The perks take cuising to a whole different level of relaxing. The prices in Epic will come down in a year of 2. Have a great time:)
