I would say yes, it would be too much to plan for one day's visit, unless you have an unusually long day in port. We were at DRF last week, and arrived there very early in the morning, and it still took over 2 hours to get through it. Plus, you've then got to deal with transportation between the 2 places (maybe 15 minutes travel time, with traffic). If you're looking for a nice beach day, I'd pick one of the hotels and stick with just that. Haven't been to the Sunset in a number of years, but last time we went it was nice - it 's the complex that's right on the beach next to the docks.

 

If you want to do something more active, book a tour with Peat Taylor - we did DRF and the Blue Hole last week - some others in our group also did the tubing. Had a great day.
