Belize Zoo Tour

We are thinking about touring the Belize Zoo when the Dream stops there in November. Does anyone have any comments about the zoo or any experience in booking a tour for the Zoo Tour?

There have been detailed posting about excursions to the zoo. You might try the search engine to locate them. The zoo was on our short list but the cave tubing win out.

We did this in combination with cave tubing with Nacho and Cynthia last year (you can google their names and get their website). We have 5 kids ages 8 - 15. We enjoyed it. It is not a typical zoo like you have in the US. It is much smaller but interesting. It started as an animal rescue facility. It was actually featured on the Today Show I think last year when Matt was in Belize. If you like animals, then it is worth it but again, it is nothing at all like a typical American zoo, which for some people this will be disappointing and for others, delightful, depending on your perspective. Also, we went in Feb and it was overcast. I can't imagine being there in extreme heat and sun!
