Animal 57 Posted August 29, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2010 Any suggestions on which of these two trips is better for a 6 year old child?
navybaby1113 Posted August 30, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2010 We did the Goff's Cay snorkeling and I'm not sure you'd want to take a 6 year old. There are two options, you can snorkel from the boat or snorkel from the beach. We did the snorkeling from the beach and it's a long swim. You swim out to the dropoff, look around for a little bit, and then swim back. If boats drive by, it can make the waves a little rough. After we were done snorkeling, we got a beach break and were allowed to keep a hold of our snorkeling equipment to swim around on our own. Your 6 year old could easily do that. The coral is pretty close to shore.
Animal 57 Posted September 10, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted September 10, 2010 So we got there and it was 115 degrees last week with 90 percent humidity. Not the best for a shore excursion. I think I have learned my lesson about the caribbean in early september;)
