Iron on Gem

Irons are banned, so don't bring one aboard. You can ask your room steward for an iron and an ironing board. They will arrange for both to be delivered to your cabin for a short period of time depending upon the demand...

The Fire Prevention and Safety Act of 1974 mandates that the hospitality industry, hotels and cruise ships, provide an ironing board... Because of several world wide high rise hotel fires at that time, many nations passed such legislation including the U.S.

Many cruise ships don't have ironing boards in their cabins, therefore the ban on irons. But one of both can be requested...

Other alternatives to irons and ironing boards would be to use travel steamers, Downy's Wrinkle Release, and/or hang your clothes while running the shower's hot water to steam up the bath room...

You can also use the ships laundry as well, they offer pressing services too...

NCL does not have any self service laundrymats, or ironing rooms either...
