They run a criminal check on all the passengers while the ship is at sea and if someone comes up with warrants, the feds arrest them at the end of the cruise. There could be other explanations but that's a likely one.

makes sense and could very well have been the case.

People on any side of promotion towards prosecutuon, discovery, ptotection, and improving the facts and understanding of these kinds of crimes and problems can sound "rabid"..or "temporarily insane"..or over protective in a "no trust stance"..that is a hard way to go through life.

Any victim has a lifetime of finding the middle ground..and reclaiming their dignity.

Most victims want and strive deeply for this place..but the refusal to see how some insideous things are going on forces the "no trust" stance a little right of center at times.

What is really needed is compasion and study...no blinders to the facts of what places these characters are attracted to...and a little more caution than one would wish to have to take is simply paramount..and if something bad happens..like the fast elevator door an the arm...it is not going to be a 100% who is to bless and who is to blame on the parts of those with the "protection" responsibilites.

That goes for protection of oneself and one's minors....educated healthy risks..one's best options...and no "rose colored glasses"...of complete immunity...bad things happen to good people...but thank heavens good things happen to good people to...pray to your better angels too..IMHO that always helps...sjn.

Sjn, I know I am getting into tricky turf here. There is an unwritten rule that grammatical mistakes are tolerated on public blogs without comment. That is especially important, considering that English may very well not be a language the poster is completely proficient in. However, I hope you will not be offended if I point out that your posts are very difficult to read, and even more difficult to understand (which is a shame, as you seem to have something to say). I hope you will consider adding a little conventional grammar. I know grammar is usually sacrificed when texting, but I think threads like these are meant for reading. My opinion, anyway.
