Which translates to Monday (sea day) and Friday (Belize) if your itinerary stays the same as it is now.

I was going to say it that way.... but thought I remembered noticing somewhere(?), a reversal of Belize and Roatan on certain sail dates. So I went with 2nd/5th night. ;)

Anthsmom.... we're hanging here, waiting for Roatan and your last sea day.....

Would LOVE to know where in Cozumel you get the beer for $1.

We are leaving on the Legend in November and LOVE the detail of your review.

Looking forward to reading the rest

If you're at the International Pier, there are several shops ( not bars) that have Corona in coolers that are 3 for $3.

We were shopping in the downtown area near Carlos n Charlies. There are a number of large shops when you walk towards the back they have $1 bud light bottles. They also have a higher alcohol % compared to bud lights from the US. ;)

Day Five (Thursday in Roatan):

Ohhhhh my head! Yesterday was a day of beer, margaritas, malibu and pineapples, rum punch, long island iced teas and white Russians - doubles. UGH what was I thinking??? We had plans to meet MR. and MRS. Florida in the Dining Room for a 9:30am breakfast. I am moving slow…very slow. I go on the balcony and the ship is still moving. We are due to be in Roatan today from 11:00am - 5:30pm. DH and I discussed zip ling and swimming at Mahogany Beach. I was already nervous to zip line but with the way my head was feeling…what was I to do?

We got to Truffles first so we asked for a table for four. MR. and MRS. Florida were right behind us. MRS. Florida and I both said that we have been looking forward to ordering eggs benedict. Ummm…. Guess what? I had a bite, didn’t feel so good, had another bite, still didn’t feel so good. I drank my water. No coffee, no juice just water. It was suggested I drink a bloody mary (discounted price until noon) to get rid of the yucky feeling I had. The three of them were going to town with breakfast and although it looked great, I could barely watch. MR. Florida asked us if we wanted to join them zip lining. They were going to rent a car and tour the island and do some zip lining. DH looked at me and knew there was no way I could make it. After breakfast we all went up to the adult only pool area to watch us dock into Mahogany Bay. It was very neat how the Captain turned the boat and maneuvered right in. We were right on time.

DH and I decided to go straight to Mahogany Beach. No zip lining was in my future at this port. In my research pre-cruise I found out that MB was free as were the loungers, flying chairs were $10 per person but it was a short walk to the beach so we passed on the flying chairs. Even with the way I was feeling, the walk was an easy one. There are lots of resting areas for those who need it (benches in the shade). It also gave us a chance to walk around and peek into some of the shops. MB was pretty and clean. There were many free loungers. The ones with the clam shell were extra. We found two and unloaded. Lots of servers walking around offering us drinks and food. (from Fat Tuesdays)

It was pretty hot. We were in and out of the water the entire time. By 1:00pm I was feeling much much better. Had a couple Miami Vices (pina colada swirled with strawberry daquiri). Maybe at breakfast I should of ordered that bloody mary and probably would have felt better sooner LOL. We stayed at MB and hit the shops to pick up a couple souvineers on the way back. No negotiating room at these shops.

We get back onboard and we grab some lunch at the buffet. Chicken tenders and fries and that yummy salsa that is available everyday. TIP: If you are looking for the chicken tenders dipping sauce it is at the beginning of the buffet where you grab your plate and/or tray. It took me until day 5 to figure this out! While we are having our late lafternoon snack MR. and MRS. Florida join us. They had a great day ziplining. They took video on their camera and the lines looked amazing and LONG. They also talked about the beauty of Roatan so if you are interested in ziplining this is the place to do it! I feel bad since we missed it. Note to self: Do NOT mix cocktails!!!!! Speaking of cocktails, today the drink of the day was the Goombay Smash served in the Coconut Monkey (also a piggy bank). Today the Taste of the Nations was French themed (we didn't make it as lunch is from 12:00 - 3:30pm and we got back on board after that).

Went back to the cabin and reviewed our fun times. Tonight they have an air guitar contest scheduled on the lido at 10:45pm. Also, an Awesome 80's Flashback Party and they plan on teaching everyone the Thriller Dance. Haha. Talk about a blast from the past. Sounds fun and I ask DH if he wants to go. They also have comedian Max Winfrey and of course the R rated comedy scheduled with Tony Esposito and Thomas Brown to follow. So many different things to choose from. DH goes downstairs to pick up our plate of sushi yummy!

We get ready for dinner and as always we have a great time. All present at the table except for MR. and MRS. Ohio - but that was par for the course. Tonight I order cream of potato Soup, caesar salad and I have the pork chops...oh so good! DH orders the shrimp cocktail, wilted spinach salad (very tasty) and the beef strogonoff. Tonight I see the bitter n blanc. I have read how good it is on these boards. Ummm...let's just say that it wasn't anything I would order again. DH had the warm chocolate melting cake...always a sure thing when it comes to pleasing. We finish dinner and I remind DH that we are going to check out the flashback party, etc. Well guess what? We end up at the casino...haha. We are doing soooooo well and having so much fun that we miss all of our entertainment plans. No flashback party, no thriller dance, no comedy shows. Cha ching cha ching cha ching was all we heard. Oh, I did have a couple of beers but no mixing, no over drinking. haha.

Around 1:30am we decided it was time to get up to bed. We have cave tubing booked and need to catch an early tender for tomorrow. Sitting on the bed we have the cutest lil crab. One of my fav towels of the trip! Ok now I have to order breakfast since we probably won't have time for the buffet and realize there is no breakfast order form again UGH!

More to come....up next Day Six Friday in Belize.

Thanks for continuing the review :D

Where did MR and Mrs Florida go zip lining? I have read there is a zip line right in the port area. I know there are excursions for this (CCL and independent) but am interested in the one right outside the port for my DD - NO zip lining for me...NOPE. Just curious which one they did.

Thanks again

If you walk to the top of the hill just outside the port area at the top of the hill is the Clip'n'zip. Was just $40 and was fantastic. They took you to the top of the mountain in a big truck and then you zip back down. 11 zips total. Was the by far the cheapest and the nicest we have donee. Fantastic!

We are going on our 1st curise on Legend in Jan for our 15th anniversary. Got a quick question. How much are the mixed drinks on average? You can go on Carnival's website and purchase bar card for $21.25 for 4 drinks, $5.30 average per drink. Is it worth it to buy these in advanced or jus buy at the bar?

Thanks for your review also, I'm learning a lot!:)

Day Six (Friday in Belize):

Today we are scheduled to be in Belize from 8:00am - 5:00pm. The last tender is scheduled for 4:00pm. We booked our own excursion with a group from our roll call board. With 10 people or more the price was $40 per person through cave-tubing dot com scheduled for 9:15am. We get up, get ready and run up to the lido for breakfast. I go through the buffet and DH has an omelet. No long waits and lots of open tables. We had no luck catching up our roll call meet n greet on the first sea day so I was hoping that we still had the group going. We get to the follies lounge and there is a table setup to get a sticker for tenders. They asked us for our carnival excursion info and I told them we had an outside excursion booked. They give us two stickers with a "2" on it. We take a seat and run into MR. and MRS. Florida who are waiting for a tender for a carnival excursion - they are going snorkeling. They told us that the barrier reefs in Belize are suppose to be some of the most beautiful in the world according to what they heard and they are excited. Minutes later they call number 2 so we have to run and we are led down a hallway and right out the door onto a tender. Very quick and no problems. TIP: Be honest with the carnival crew/tender assigners. We heard that some tried to "make up" stories about getting a tender and didn't want to tell them they had booked an outside excursion so they had to wait for a tender. We had no trouble getting a tender even though we booked an outside excursion.

We get to the port and look for the Fort Street exit as instructed by cave-tubing dot com. There are people offering us different necklaces, wine, etc to buy and other excursions to go on. We are on a mission to find our excursion company. We see a sign for cave-tubing dot com and our group name. Right on the bus we go. The bus was pretty big, nice, comfortable and has a/c. Yhony (the person who has been emailing us pre-cruise) gets on the bus and makes some general announcements. I look around the bus wondering if our roll call group is here. I hear the name of one of our roll call posters and wave hi and tell her who I am...lol. Phew, our group is here and there were 13 of us total from the roll call board. The drive was fun, our guides were great. So full of energy. BUTTS UP! We had a personalized tour of the city as we drove through. It was a really fun ride. I do not want to disclose too much information so you can be pleasantly surprised just as we were. We HIGHLY recommend booking them. They were so entertaining and had surprises here and there!!!! I even had to video the entertainment (yes I am only speaking of the bus ride haha - oh so fun!!!!) They have several surprises that they do not list on the website. Yippee... plus we had a birthday boy on our bus so they were even more gracious with him. Our lead tour guide was Keith AKA "Speedo". He was great. We also had The Animal (I don't remember all of their real names), Myles, Gomez, El Rey and Seven our driver. All six of them were absolutely awesome. I loved their BUTTS UP theme.

We get to the our destination and drop off three people who booked the atv/cave tubing excursion. We passed on the atv tour as we go four wheeling at our camp pretty regularly at home. We continue on about a few minutes away and park the bus. We have time to change if needed, use restrooms etc. We now have our tubes (which are very nice), our life jackets and our head gear/head lamp all provided by the company. Now it is time to walk through the rain forest. You do have to cross the river about waist deep (I'm 5'4) and there is a rope to hang on to while walking across. The water is refreshing and pretty clear. We get across and we get more stories of things we were seeing while walking. Very neat to hear what can be found in the rain forest for healing as well as for eating. We watched some eat termites. Yikes! The walk is a little ways but not terrible. Passed by some caves that had bats...another yikes! We brought bug spray with us but didn't need it. We also had our aquapak belt case with our passports. Booking an outside company I wanted that extra insurance just in case. We were due back to the port before the last tender as cave-tubing dot com is adamant about getting you back on time but you just never know. After going through the rain forest we are now at the entry point for our tubes. The guides are right there to assist. Each guide is assigned per 12 people. I had read about a death in the caves a few years back and our guides were very attentive and watchful on us all. Our roll call group had 13 people total so we had two guides. DH and I were at the back of the group when entering the water so we did not have anyone's feet under our arms. (thank goodness!) Yes we had to link up. I know it is for safety reasons but that was the most uncomfortable part of the experience. My feet kept falling asleep under the guy in front of me. UGH! When the other woke up, the other would fall asleep. I am so glad I didn't have feet on me! TIP: WEAR SHOES! Water shoes, tennis shoes something! Majority of us had shoes on as they recommend it. There were some in the group that had flip flops and took them off. I saw one poor girl horrified at the feet that were on both sides of her. I felt for her as the toes on that guy were gross! Yellow nails could = some kind of fungus = totally NASTY!

We went through the caves and it was very neat. Again, our guides told us stories and showed us very neat things. There were a couple of rapids where they yelled their saying BUTTS UP! Our guides did all of the work, pulled, pushed we just relaxed and floated. Good time, oh, except again for the feet linking thing and the feet falling asleep. We saw other excursion groups also tubing. We saw a group that all had on helmets. Didn't look comfortable at all. Not sure what company that was. Towards the end of the tubing we were allowed to release the leg and arm link. Ahhhhhh, DH and I just floated till we got back to that initial rope that we crossed over on the beginning of the adventure. There were some rocks and people were jumping in. Looked fun but we passed on it. We walked back to where the bus was and hopped on. They took us back to the huge palapa where they had lunch waiting for us (included in the price). The lunch is also a surprise that we did not know about but one that is important enough to share since it may sway your decision on booking them. We had their native dish called Stewed Chicken served with vegetable yellow rice and cole slaw. It was delish! They had a cash bar available as well. DH and I had Belize brewed beer, Belikin Beer for $3 each. It was pretty good. They also offered non alcoholic drinks, the Panty ripper drink for the women (coconut rum and pineapple) and the Rock the boat drink for the men (rum and coke) all for $3 each. The also sold the cashew wine by the bottle and butts up t-shirts.

After lunch we loaded the bus and back to the port we went. This is when we paid for the excursion and this is where the entertainment got crazier! I still haven't had a chance to post the pictures but I have video of our "bus show" too. HAHA. We got back to the port and it is 3:30pm. The last tender is at 4:00pm and we had planned to visit the Wet Lizard and shop a bit. No time. Boo! We didn't make it into the Wet Lizard but did see it. Went in a couple of shops. Before we left for our cruise, I wanted to purchase a gucci waist pouch. I guess it's considered a fanny pack, but to me, not so much because it sits flat on your body and doesn't buldge out. Here is a link to see it. http://www.gucci.com/us/styles/28566RF40JR8588

When I went to check them out they cost $465. Yikes! Well guess what I quickly spotted in the shops? Yuppers you got it right! They wanted $40 but we negotiated and got it for $20. They also had LV luggage for $60, coach purses, gucci, d & g all kinds of replicas. I don't used the same purse often so this replica gucci is perfect for me and at the right price. DH was rushing me so I didn't get to get anything else unfortunately! We made it to the tender at 3:55pm and there was a long long line behind us. I was bummed the whole way back to the ship. I wished I could of bought more and I wished we had more time to shop. DH and I agreed right then and there that we HAD TO return to Belize. Yay - I get to go back to shop! Really wished we had a longer stay at this port. TIP: Belize shops negotiate pricing. Woot woot!

We get back to the ship and chatted on and on about how fun Belize. We really enjoyed. DH and I went up to the lido and hung out on the loungers just reflecting on our entire day. I grabbed us our salsa snack from the buffet and we watch sail away and they have a sail away drink discount special on margaritas. Today's drink of the day is the Yellow Bird and the Taste if the Nations is All American themed (we missed this as well). After a bit, we decide to head back to the cabin. Tonight is our second elegant night. We did not take any photos for the first elegant night so we decide we will tonight. On the way down to our cabin, we always pass the spa. DH has stopped by the spa several times during our cruise. I tell him day after day to book a treatment and he never does. We get back to the cabin and DH goes downstairs to get our red wine glasses and sushi plates. DH gets back and drinks a few beers, malibu and pineapples then has wine. We get dolled up and head down to take pictures. The ship's movement is very strong. I am in heels and walking from side to side. Where did this come from? Get to the photo stands, hand here, turn body there, tilt chin to the left, a little more, maybe a tad to the right....you get the picture. It felt like a supermodel session. LOL

After our photo shoot we head to dinner. You guessed it, MR. and MRS. Ohio are MIA again. MR. and MRS. Florida get there about 20 minutes late. They were crashed out and mentioned two words to us "RUM PUNCH". We catch up on all of our activities of the day. MR. and MRS. Florida said the snorkeling was ok. Not to their expectations. The catamaran that was listed as part of the excursion wasn't a catamaran, the snorkeling wasn't as pretty as they thought but the one thing they did rave on was the all you could drink rum punch LOL. They drank so much of it that they slept pretty hard and thought that they missed dinner. They once again were hilarious in their animated descriptions of their excursion. We had such a great time with them. Ship was very rocky through dinner. Ken and Armando were awesome at dinner and Bianca on the other hand not so much. She was sea sick. I was surprised. She has worked on cruises for 9 years - I had no idea that could happen. She did her best with us and even danced in all of their entertainment. I ordered escargot, caesar salad, grilled shrimp and the amaretto cake. DH had the sushi sampler, caesar salad, chateaubriand and the baked alaska for dessert. All was good again! Poor Bianca.

After dinner guess where we ended up? Haha you are right if you guessed the casino. We found a table and ordered drinks and listened to the entertainer. I don't think I mentioned it earlier but he was AWESOME! He took requests and was a one man show. Very good and we enjoyed him just about every night. DH and MR. Florida were putting in song requests and us ladies headed to the cabin to change. With the ship rocking so much high heels were not in my future...but roulette was! Tonight I hit the roulette table. I had a number of $5 credit tickets to use from all of my yummy carnival classic drinks. Nice! Cha ching. I played all night long. MRS. Florida tried her luck with me on roulette...played for a little bit. I actually played all night long. MR. Florida tried but went back to his black jack and DH played a bit with me too. He kept on with his jersey #s. He kept running out of chips and I kept giving him some of my $25 chips. The table pit boss informed us that the casino was closing in ten minutes. What??? Are you kidding me? I am ahead $350 and am on a roll and you want to close the table? Oh no. The DH and MR. and MRS. Florida have been at the casino all night as well and none of us are ready to call it a night. We are informed by our drink server that the Unicorn Bar up at the adults pool is open and stays open late. Hmmm....we had no idea that was an option. I had a bunch of $25 chips and put it in my new gucci belt bag. Ahhh, my new belt bag must be lucky for me! Woohoo! We all head to the elevator to go up to the pool bar.

We get up to the Unicorn Bar and there is one table up there. We sit at the bar and order shots - I passed. Yikes! Tonight I have been drinking double white Russians and DH buckets of beer. No shots for me...I remind myself of how I felt just days before. We are there for about five minutes and all of a sudden the entire bar area and tables are packed! We look around. Wait a minute, name tags. These are not passengers drinking and partying. There is a name tag, another name tag, and another. It is the crew. They are off of work. We talk to one girl, she is an entertainer and she informed us that when they are off duty they can drink and party too. Wow. We had no clue. Then we spot the phenomenal singer that has been entertaining us throughout the week on the stage in the atrium bar. She sang opera and was very good. She looked a little different without the "bump it" hair piece she had on stage. We told her how awesome she sang and she was very thankful. We then just people watched. Wow - the crew was having a blast. This may not be the right thing to say but we saw one girl with one guy, then she moved on to the next guy and then another. Yikes! Then one of the guys she was messing with was now messing with a guy. Double yikes. Not that we are prudes or anything but it was not something I had ever seen. We figured maybe it was TMI for us and we should get going and let the crew have their fun. We had a long day, they deserved to get their party on as they work very hard. It was almost 4:00am and we only had one day left on the cruise. Boo.

We headed down to the cabin and hanging from a rail on the ceiling was a monkey. Cute cute cute! Tomorrow was a sea day, we were going to sleep in. I wanted coffee on our balcony one last day and ugh, there was no breakfast room service order form. I am so glad that we are having a good trip....another missing order form is not going to ruin the trip!

More to come.... Saturday, our last day at sea.
