Orlando Hotel Options -- PreCruise Stay

We will be sailing out of Port Canaveral on the Dream in November, and we are looking for a hotel in the Orlando area that provides free transportation to and from the airport, and is close to dining and perhaps even shopping or some sort of entertainment, as we will be arriving relatively early in the day the day before the cruise. We are planning on just taking the Carnival shuttle from the airport to the port, which is why we need a hotel that provides transportation to and from the hotel... Suggestions? We normally stay at Marriott (and have rewards points with them), so those would be a first choice, but we are not opposed to other options as well...

If you need to be at the airport, the most convenient hotel is the Hyatt http://orlandoairport.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp located inside the airport. Take a look at the Downtown Disney hotels http://www.downtowndisneyhotels.com/ I don't think they offer airport shuttles, but they do offer complimentary bus service throughout the Disney property.

These hotels are on Disney property, adjacent to, and within walking distance of the Downtown Disney Marketplace and Entertainment complex. Buena Vista Palace, Regal Sun and the Holiday Inn have undergone recent renovations.

 

If you can use your Marriott rewards to Book the Marriott World Center http://www.marriottworldcenter.com/ you could stay onsite enjoying the pool and dining options here, without having to leave the resort.
