2cruiserz Posted September 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2010 Sorry if this is a repeat post, but what is the difference between "premium" and "specialty" coffee. I have read that premium is the flavored coffee and specialty is the cappucinos, iced coffees, mocha's, lattes, etc. And, I have already read that "premium" coffee includes all the mocha's, lattes, etc. Can someone who has actually been on a cruise with the premium non-alcoholic beverage clarify what type of coffee it is? Thank you!!!
RhondaC Posted September 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2010 I just asked this very same question earlier today! See the answer here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1269439 :)
beau20 Posted September 8, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 8, 2010 Was on the Millie in August and purchased the Classic Non-Alcohol beverage package. I found out that it included everything at the Cova Cafe except the speciality coffees with alcohol. Hot chocolate, Mochas, Lattes, and Cappucinos were included and I enjoyed them morning and late night. Now, I did not order any iced coffees so I say for sure that they would be included. But I was told that everything was included except alcohol. Canned Drinks could be ordered at every bar and even at the Celebrity Theater and MDR. Turned out to be a great purchase. We were on an Alaska cruise so did not need the frozen drinks. If we had been on a warm weather cruise, we would have opted for the upgraded package. Hope this answers your questions. Unlimited Frozen drinks by the pool would have been nice.
2cruiserz Posted September 8, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted September 8, 2010 Thank you for the replies. That does help some to answer my question. I purchased the premium non-alcoholic package because I was under the impression that the classic only included flavored coffee. I still am confused though as to why a non-alcoholic package would include coffee w/ alcohol. Is that what you meant by everything but the alcohol? Oh well... if it is, guess I will be getting tipsy on the coffee

He/she said that the Classic Non-Alcoholic Package does not include coffee containing alcohol. He/she did NOT say that the Premium Non-Alcoholic Package DOES include coffee containing alcohol. My understanding is that coffees containing alcohol are available only under the (much-higher-priced) alcoholic packages.
