If they change itineraries...

I'll be cruising on the Carnival Valor on 9/19 to the Western Caribbean (Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize, Cozumel) and was reading about Invest 92L which some think could take a WNW track into the Western Caribbean...

I know they can skip ports or change ports or do a lot of things to avoid a storm - really just curious what is the most common? Do they typically just skip the ports? Do they ever replace the ports with another stop? Do they ever just go in a different direction (hey! now its an Eastern Caribbean cruise!)?

Knew when we booked it that hurricane cruising would be uncertain (and we have insurance) but really just wondering how it is typically handled...
