I am REALLY good at expressing myself with confidence. YEARS of training....as an Accountant....we had a outside team come in every year to do our company review. And if you even had the slightest hesitation (even though you knew it was all correct) it could mean DAYS of pulling documentation.

 

I learned to communicate effectively. I also cut the review time from 2 people for 6 weeks....to 1 person for 2 weeks....which (considering the size of the corporation) was probably the shortest amount of time that it would ever be processed in.

I think very few people who post on here actually take things personally. You can't take things personally, or it will eat you up. Sort of my case at work. I can't tell you how many times I had a patient tell me "I hate the dentist". Thus far, I have been able to convince them all that it is actually GOING to the dentist (not the dentist) that they "hate"! :) Though I did have one new patient tell me at his first visit that if I ever hurt him, he would hit me...:eek: that was also his last visit! ;)

 

At least he was honest!

Our dentist is also very cruise oriented and there are several pictures on the wall. He also has a sense of humor:

 

On the counter is a HUGE bowl of wrapped candy, taffy etc with the sign:

 

"HELP YOURSELF, EAT AS MUCH AS YOU WOULD LIKE, THE CRUISE FUND IS GETTING LOW"

 

I have never seen anyone take a piece:p
