CruiseVirginfromBrooklyn Posted February 15, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2005 We're sailing on the Liberty on 07/20 and my wife's little sister and one of her friends are considering joining us. We've offered to help pay for the trip but, they'd rather pay for themselves. Seems that the only cabins they can afford in their price range are inside cabins which show up as "guarantee" cabin (in other words, no assigned cabin). So, given that the Liberty is close to selling out and will probably sell out for this sailing. What, if any chance, do they have of being upgraded? Thanks. JrMafia90 Posted February 15, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2005 Keyword "Sold Out", but they can only fill the ship up with so many people so there just might extra cabins that people didn't buy because the ship is allowed to only hold some many people and it depends from location to location. SO you never know, there is a chance.
jewopaho Posted February 16, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2005 Since they'll be among the last to book, they'll likely get a 4A cabin, and those folks who were assigned it first will be upgraded to, say, a 6A. Of course, the previous 6A passengers will be bumped up ... and so it goes. I wouldn't expect them to be upgraded, since other people will have to be moved to accommodate them.
