Rogue waves Posted September 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2010 I would contact casadoradoDR.com and ask them about their rates and plan. When I went there, they treated us very well.
seahunters2000 Posted September 17, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted September 17, 2010 I emailed them and you need ten people minimum. Did you hook up with a bunch of people from the ship? or through this forum? They want $100 for the transportation r/t and another $200 for the boat ride out to Playa Rincon r/t. Which isn't bad for ten people only $30 each total.

When I went, we had enough people in our group to do it without contacting anyone else. Try to make a post on this board and make a post in the roll call to see if anyone would be interested. They would be crazy not to. This experience is awesome. Take a look at my pictures in the link below to get an idea. Tell em Tom sent you. Rogue waves Posted September 18, 2010 #6 Share Posted September 18, 2010 They did wait at the pier/shore for us, however, they did not recruit strays. Try to find at least 7 or so, and see if CD will let you pay a bit more PP. I don't think they would reject business if you were willing to pay full price! Hi fellow cruisers, We'll be on the Norwegian Dawn which gets to Samana on Sunday, October 24, 2010. I just got off the phone with Catherine at Casa Dorado. Our party of four would like to take their tour to Playa Rincon but we need a total party of 10 to make it economical. Catherine sent me the same email that she sent to Rogue waves which says that for a party of 10 the taxi is $100 RT and the escorted tour to Playa Rincon is $200. This comes out to $30 pp for the whole day and I think that's a pretty good deal. If anyone is interested or if anyone has already started the tour process and needs 4 more to get to 10 folks please let me know. My email address is: lsu2fan@aol.com Thanks, Jorge

I didn't want the responsability for the entire tour just wanted to book my wife & myself. I guess I'll have to wait and see maybe we can join another group when we get there. or possibly find some others @ the meet & greet on board the night before.
