kitty383 Posted September 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2010 Hello! Has anyone done the "Full Day Nevis Sail with Lunch" booked through the St. Kitts Tour Store? I'm interested in this tour and need some information. Thanks a lot Kerstin
RUDIMAY1 Posted September 26, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2010 I did something like this years ago from a ship excursion. Nevis is very nice and the jerk chicken at b-b-q beach lunch was the best I ever had. The beach at Nevis was called pickman or pickering beach and it was sandy and a great place to swim. paul58 Posted September 26, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 26, 2010 It is Pinney's Beach. The Four Seasons is located on Pinney's beach also. It will re-open after being closed following Hurrican Omar in 2008.

All the food was cooked in a little alcove of trees, boat pulled up on beach amd nothing but sand, water and trees. If I remember right I saw a map and it was on the southeast corner? paul58 Posted September 26, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2010 The Four Seasons would have been further down. The cats in later years stopped neart Sunshines which in right next to the Four Seasons. I am not sure where they are stopping now.

kitty383 Posted September 27, 2010 Author #7 Share Posted September 27, 2010 Hello! Thanks a lot for your answers. I tried to book the tour with Bluewater Safaris, but they told me they are booked out on this day. Maybe we book the tour through Celebrity or we do it on another island. kitty383 Posted September 29, 2010 Author #8 Share Posted September 29, 2010 Leeward Island charters told me I had to book through Celebrity. I tried to Email St. Kitts Tour Store but still waiting for a reply.
cruise pup Posted October 9, 2010 #9 Share Posted October 9, 2010 Bluewater Tours hasn't replied to my request. Do they usually take a while to respond?
1stcruiser1 Posted October 11, 2010 #10 Share Posted October 11, 2010 does anyone know who you can book with that doesn't have to wait to confirm bookings until they have minimum amount of passengers? Just worried that day before excursion they cancel and I have no back up- might just do the ships catamaran because of this.
cruise pup Posted October 11, 2010 #11 Share Posted October 11, 2010 Try this company. They have responded immediately to all my e-mails in the past. Pereira Tours, used to be The Tour Store. lizpereiratourstore.shutterfly.com Shouldn' this be lizpereiratourstore@shutterfly.com? I did go to their website and filled in a form but haven't heard back yet.
IslandTime2 Posted October 17, 2010 #12 Share Posted October 17, 2010 I've gone with both Blue Water & Leeward. I like Leeward better b/c you can eat on the beach - almost felt like Gilligan's Island....lol. Both have nice boats, great crews and similar menus. Certain cruise lines have contracts with those companies - and it is best to check to see if it is on your excursion list from the ship. If you book directly with the company and are dishonest about being on a ship and it gets found out it can cause problems for the companies b/c of the terms/conditions of their contracts with the cruise lines. I learned about this when I inquired how come it was cheaper to book directly when I tried to do the same, but after understanding why, I didn't want to cause any problems for those local businesses. It was well worth the money. From what I understand they can't mix cruise and hotel guests, again becuause of the contracts with the ships.... and the cruise line can usually fill up a catamaran so that is more of a guarantee then trying to get on a cat with hotel guests. Just what I've learned over the years.... but again it is a fantastic day - well worth the money and you'll definitely have a blast!!
cruise pup Posted October 17, 2010 #13 Share Posted October 17, 2010 After a 2nd attempt I finally heard back from Blue Water. There will be 2 cruise ships in port the day I wanted to book so the cruise lines have their boats. They aren't taking independent bookings. Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted October 17, 2010 #14 Share Posted October 17, 2010 We were in St. Kitts last week & had planned on doing the full day sail & snorkel through Liz at the lizpereiratourstore. Unfortunately we were there the week of all the flooding but I was very impressed with the customer service from Liz. She responded back almost immediately to all the emails I sent her & we received an email from her on Tuesday before our Friday visit to St. Kitts informing us of the cancellation of our tour due to all the flooding on the island. She offered to set us up with another tour. She was very accommodating.
cruise pup Posted October 18, 2010 #15 Share Posted October 18, 2010 I checked with Leeward and I have to book with the cruise line. Not a problem since Celebrity is giving me $350. in obc's which more than makes up for any difference between their rate and booking directly with Leeward.
