Internet Calls on the STAR?

I was writing to see if anyone was aware what the internet connection was like on the STAR? I know on other ships it has been really slow--although not sure if that is for billing purposes of connectivity issues.

 

I may have to have a business call while on board, and was wondering if anyone had used google-phone while on board? Is there wifi? How about in the Garden Villa? I think there's a laptop in there, could we hook our own up? Anyone tried skype while on board? Google voice/video chat? Would prefer to avoid the 2.49 a minute charges if at all possible so suggestions are welcome!

 

Alternately, anyone used ATT around Puerto Vallarta? What kind of roaming were you charged? Did the service work ok?
