What's up with solo/single cruisers on Christmastime cruises?

No experience..this will be a first for me. I will be on the Liberty Dec. 24 thru Christmas and New Year's Eve and I suspect that it will be mostly families. That's fine by me. Even though I'm single and never had any kids...I still enjoy watching them have a great time during the holidays and if it gets too noisy, by day 2 I'll have found a quiet spot on deck where I can read in peace. I plan to go, have fun, take in the shows, games, eat well and go on a few excursions / shopping / especially in St. Maarten. Since I'm not an unfriendly type, I'll likely meet people. But if not, a good book, a deck chair and much better weather than in Canaduh, with no work schedules to stress me out...well, I will be a very happy cruiser.
