Martita B. Posted October 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2010 Has anyone sailed with new Captain Pier Scala (Italian) aboard the Voyager? He is one of THE best Master's I've ever met ~~his wife, Chloe, was a Hotel Manager but now is home in Sicily taking care of their baby girl, Sofia. Captain Scala, I predict, will be a huge hit with the Regent Sailors! Martita B.
OrpingtonT Posted October 1, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 1, 2010 No, but if he is Captain for our Voyager Transatlantic on 8 November 2010, I will report back with comments. Thanks.
Martita B. Posted October 1, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted October 1, 2010 I have four good friends from Dallas that will be joining you on the Voyager Nov. 8th TA ~ if Capt. Scala is indeed at the helm you're all in for a real treat! He's a very "out 'n about" type Master ~ very personable. Martita B.
Martita B. Posted October 3, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted October 3, 2010 Captain Scala is presently enjoying his vacation and won't be "drivin'" the Voyager across the big pond in Nov. Do you know who the Master will be? Have a great Crossing and enjoy the fun, restful sea days!:p MB
Martita B. Posted October 7, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted October 7, 2010 Was so sorry to read of the Voyager's pod problems and the cancelling of the Oct. 3rd & 17th sailings. I've read on several forums the Nov. 8th TA Crossing is still scheduled. As Captain Gianmario Sanguinetti is aboard the Voyager now (on its way to Genoa to dry dock) I'm assuming he'll be Master on Nov. 8th for the Transatlantic. I certainly hope all goes well and the problems are resolved quickly. Martita B.
