cruiseLMG Posted February 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2005 I haven't cruise with Carnival for years, but have planned a family reunion cruise on the Legend for November. We have cruisers from 4yrs old to 89yrs old. What can you tell us about this ship? Thank you in advance
cantw82cruise Posted February 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2005 You can't go wrong with the Legend (or any Spirit class ship) IMHO... This is one of the best ships in the fleet. I will be sailing on her for the second time in April. I think the spirit class ships are laid out the best. They are all very similar but I thought the Legend has a great interior design to it. I like all the urns and pewter and copper colors.

cantw82cruise Posted February 17, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2005 Tassie, Is this what you are talking about? The cost is $155 pp. This is a once in a lifetime chance to see two oceans in one hour by traveling the Isthmian Railroad, the world’s first Trans-Continental railroad. On this excursion you will: Depart Colon City on the Caribbean Coast. Travel the train tracks that run parallel with the Panama Canal. See the extraordinary plants and animals of the region. Enjoy the amazing views of Gatun Lake. Hear stories of famous people such as Christopher Columbus and Ferdinand de Lesseps. Pass through the rainforest and get a glimpse of this remarkable eco-system. Cross the Continental Divide to the Pacific side. Tour the Miraflores Locks and the old Canal Zone. If you have regestered on the Carnival site you can go to my cruise and see all the shore toure available. It gives you the prices and you can even book them right there. See you on board.... tassie Posted February 17, 2005 #6 Share Posted February 17, 2005 I appreciate the info on the train and we will book the space as a result of your email. Is there a good side bad side on the train? And do we return to Colon by train or by bus? Thanks once again. Tassie;)
