eam2008 Posted October 4, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2010 My husband and I will be finishing the sub tour at 1pm and returning to the dock. We plan to be back on board around 4pm, but are wondering what to do in that time we have left. Is there much to do around the port in Bridgetown, or is it all super touristy stuff? Any input is appreciated.

Once you get downtown, the main part of the city is to the left. There are some historical buildings which we did not get a chance to see. Other than that, it resembles any other large city in the islands. There is Diamonds International and others along that line. It is interesting to see how the locals live as the city is a center of commerce. The immediate area around the ship has a container facility and a shopping pavilion with the various jewelers, liquor dealers and souvenir stands. We did find the people in Barbados to be extremely friendly. Here is a I shot of the container operation. If you want more info, let me know.
