LynnB Posted October 10, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2010 I am torn between these 2 ships for a Feb 2011 Bahamas cruise. It is Me , DH, and our 3 year old DS. The Pride leaves out of Baltimore and the Jewel out of NY. We're in NJ so easy commute to either port. Both ships have similiar itinerary although the time in Pt Canavarel differs 7a-7p on the Pride and Noon-10p on the Jewel. Would like to do SeaWorld so not sure that would work on the Jewel. My main concerns are Kids Club for my 3 y/o and room size. We are looking at large balcony cat 9B on Pride or MiniSuite on NCL. Our one and only NCL cruise was a balcony on Sky that left my DH feeling quite claustrophobic. Since this is a winter cruise leaving from the NorthEast I am expecting to spend more time indoors and in the cabin. I want to make sure I pick the right one. Any input or personal experience on these ships would be greatly appreciated.

Colorado Kat Posted January 1, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 1, 2011 Carnival has great kid's clubs. The Port Canaveral timing looks better for Carnival. Do either of these ships have a retractrable roof over the pool area? There's a good chance it might be a bit chilly, depending how the cold fronts move.
