Is there a good place in Jamaica to purchase video cameras. We are hoping to find one that is cheaper than in the states.

I think you are way better off buying a video camera somewhere near where you live. Obviously this will be a big purchase, and should anything ever go wrong, you will be glad you can make a trip to the store to get help or a refund. To save a couple of bucks by buying electronics away from home is never a good idea. What if you get it home and find out that it won't do what you want it to, Best Buy will have to answer your questions when you show up at their doorstep. What will Best Jamaica do for you if you have any problems?

That is a big price item to buy away from home. When I'm in the Caribbean I'll buy smaller stuff like Digital cameras. But in Jamaica in never find to many deals were it's worth saving a few pennies far from home.:cool:

It is not worth the risk to buy any electronic item out of the country like that. You won't even be able to check it out completely to see if it works right before you are out of the country.:)
