lvcruises Posted October 15, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2010 It looks like there is another area of weather coming to the Western Caribbean.. If they call for 50-60% chance of thunderstorms in Belize will they cancel the snorkeling trips? What about in Guatamala.. we are suppose to go hiking will they cancel if the rain\thunderstorm chances are 50-60%? just wondering if we should be looking at backup plans:(
RaMar Posted October 15, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2010 If seas are too rough, they might just skip a port. It has happened to us many times.
southnevada Posted October 15, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 15, 2010 The only place I welcome rain is when I am sitting in the ship's hot-tub!
sdmike Posted October 15, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 15, 2010 It's not unusual to cancel excursions if the conditions are not safe. I would not snorkel with thunderstorms in the area, plus the water can get murky pretty fast in storm winds. I'd have some backup plans in mind, even if those plans include a nice nap and some time at the spa. :)
