Where is best hiking in Prince Edward Island?

I don't have an answer except to google this. I just did and found lots of sites. You will need to rent a car. There is not much in the way of bus service.

 

To me the most beautiful area is on the north shore. However I am not sure you can get into the national park at this time of year.

There are numerous, beautiful trails throughtout the Island, the most noteable being the Confederation Trail, it runs the Island tip to tip along old rail beds. You will find the most definitive list of trails here http://islandtrails.ca/trails/ There are trails and paths throughout the city of Charlottetown for which they can likely get a map at the cruise terminal. But if they want to do a more rural trail, they will definitely need a car or taxi to take them there.
