gatorclaw Posted February 20, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2005 On my Destiny cruise I couldn't take any worthwhile photos of the scene outside my ocean view window because it was just grimmy, streaked, and just overall dirty. Of course I could see out of it, but the question is- is this the norm because (big surprise) ocean water is constantly splattering the windows? Or does it depend heavily on the deck height of the cabin and/or when it was washed last? Hey, gimmie a break, my cruise is in 14 days, I have run out of good questions.:)
MrPete Posted February 20, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2005 My windows were always more dirty than I would have liked them to have been. Finally remedied that after 9 cruises, and have switched to balconies ever since.

alleghator Posted February 20, 2005 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2005 When we sailed the Ecstacy (1993), but that changed halfway through the trip. It was a bit of a shock, actually. We were docked at Cozumel and our tour wasn't until after lunch. I came out of the bathroom into the cabin to fund a window washer hanging on the side of the ship, cleaning our window. Good thing I was dressed! --Heidi
boxalarm Posted February 20, 2005 #6 Share Posted February 20, 2005 Our windows have been dirty and full of streaks! We did have a surprise one morning in port when the window cleaner came dangling down. They try to keep them clean.....I think.

ElCruiso Posted February 21, 2005 #9 Share Posted February 21, 2005 YES and YES, if you don't have a balcony you might as well have an inside and save the money.
