SanKay Posted October 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2010 I'm sure this has been discussed MANY times, but we need some tips on where to go and what to do in the short amount of time we will be in port. Our cruise ship arrives at 5:00p.m. and leaves around midnight. We love to walk and see the traditional/historic sights, as well as, the fun and unique sights. Any suggestions? Thanks! Host Faith Posted October 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2010 Hi there! The Legends of PR Nighttime Walking tour tends to get some pretty good reviews. You can Google Legends of PR and find the website. I've never done this tour, however Old San Juan is a beautiful city and it's fun to walk around there at night. This and dinner at a local restaurant would make a great plan. There are lots of restaurant suggestions in this board. Don't forget to watch sailaway from San Juan that night if you're awake. El Morro Fort is illuminated and it's an incredible view. Enjoy! :)

CGinMTL Posted November 26, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 26, 2010 Had sent out a request to tourism office about our specific date ( Jan 3rd 2011). Here is the reply The trolleys in Old San Juan run until about 7pm and the forts close at 6pm. Maybe we will do the bio bay ?

Our host was Debbie, she did a wonderful job we did 2 groups of 4 rum tastings, showed us how to make 2 rum cocktails, plus had some great local food, capped off with a flaming coconut flan! The cost was $80 pp, we were advised of the location of the restaurant via text message the day we arrived in port. Our group consisted of a total of 8 people which was a perfect size. Info can be found at the same Legends of PR website referenced above. It was great fun!
