mmnap Posted October 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2010 We are sailing the Disney Dream on April 14, 2011. Flying in the night before and staying at an Orlando Airport Hotel. What is the ideal time to arrive at the ship?
mom x4,grandma x4 Posted October 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2010 That depends on what kind of expierience you want to have. The terminal opens at 10 a.m., check in starts at 10:30 and boarding varies from 11:30 to noon depending on when the crew has the ship ready for you. You can have a nice lunch upon boarding and explore the ship. You will not be able to go to your room until 1:30 P.M. So if you want to people watch in the terminal and enjoy it as the excitement grows be there early. They have lots of seats and those who check in early get the first boarding pass numbers to get on the ship. They do have small TVs around the sitting area with cartoons playing for the kids and you can do a kids club check in towards the front of the terminal while you wait, instead of doing it on board. But if you dont want any lines, come around noon and usually you walk right up, check in and walk right on the ship, and have lunch. We like getting there early, since watching all the happy faces helps get the excitement going too. Plus characters will come for photographs as you wait. Plus we meet up with people we meet on the Meet on board threads while waiting to board. Kathy
