Tour in Buenes Aires and Rio

We have not but I can say that we did Rio on our own (way back in 1974, just after Carnival) and we were in Buenos Aires in January 2002.

Both were very do-able on our own, although I'm not sure I would recommend doing Rio on your own these days. Times have changed. Back then we used an article from Gourmet Magazine (published the previous month) which gave wonderful suggestions for things to do and restaurants for dining. But a friend was in Rio perhaps 10 years later and felt it was no longer safe to go around on her own.

As to Buenos Aires, I did have an email friend who lives there and we met him for coffee one afternoon and he gave us some suggestions. But basically we went around on our own with the exception of a tango dinner. We were in Rio for a week and B.A. for about 4 days.

Both are great cities.
