What to do in Genoa??HELP

What should we plan to do in Genoa? The ship arrives 9:00 leaves 18:00 we are open too all suggestions for the must do highlights. We can walk w/ no prob also. What type of $$ should we have for this port will we need bus, taxi, etc..

When we were in Genoa we took the train to the Cinque Terre and also paid a visit to the aquarium in Genoa. We had a great time in both places. The train to get to the Cinque Terre is very easy to use and only about a 90 min ride.

i would like to see as much as possible on this short trip. coming from Florida the aquarium doesnt interest me it sounds like a tourist trap

I would do the Cinque Terre then. Nothing about the area is a tourist trap.

There is a hop on hop off bus right off where the ship docks. it was 10 euros each, the only trouble was it wasn't hop off, but was a great city tour. It showed us the highlights and when we were dropped off back at the ship, we walked down to the Pirate Ship and then up into the town and looked around the sights we had seen from the bus.
