Weather in Bahamas in January?

Hello everyone! My husband and I are cruising in January to Freeport and Nassau on the Sensation. Can anyone tell me if we will need shorts and bathing suits? Thanks for any advice you can give us.

You may, and you may not. It all depends on how far south the cold front is dipping. Average highs are well into the 70's but it certainly can be much colder than that. And the water temp is a personal preference thing - how cold can you stand it - shouldn't be less than 72 or so.

I see that you are from Florida - add ten degrees and you'll have your temp in the Bahamas

It is usually warm enough for bathing suits. We go to Nassau for a land vacation every January and last year it was so chilly I had to go buy a couple of sweatshirts. But that was a first and we have been going for about 10 years.

We froze!!!! Even the venders were wearing gloves!
