Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted October 31, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 31, 2010 We were just there a few weeks ago as part of a two hour island tour & two hours at the beach. There is a $4 fee each to get into Megans Bay. The water is very calm & they have nice restrooms & showers. There is a beach bar/restaurant. My DH & I split a club sandwich & fries & the food was good. They also have lockers, lounge chairs & floating mats for rent. We did not see any vendors there selling their wares which was nice. When we were there we were the only ship in port & it was not crowded at all but I have seen pictures of huge crowds there. Hope you have fun. DirtyNanners Posted October 31, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2010 Magens is a nice long beach. Good for relaxing and swimming. There is no snorkeling to speak of, since there is just a sandy bottom, no coral formations close to shore. Facilities are good, but you pay for that with admission. bmccarthy Posted November 2, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2010 We just went to Magen's Bay on Thursday. It is really like a postcard image. Totally worth the $4 admission fee. Very quiet as no motorized water sports are allowed. We were the only ship in port, so it wasn't too crowded. Drinks were pricey, but they were very generous with the alcohol. We will definitely go back.
