Shopping area near where Princess docks in St. Lucia?

We will be returning from a tour in St. Lucia around 2:30 PM. We were wondering, is there any shopping near where the Caribbean Princess docks that we could check out before having to get back onboard? Or, since might have a couple of hours before needing to get back onboard, we can take a taxi to town to walk around, have a look, do some shopping, etc. If so, where do we tell the taxi to take us too? Or, is it walkable to get there? If so, do you have directions? Thanks for your help and information.
