We from Australia just learned of this repositioning cruise but it looks like we cannot participate. The problem is Azamara would not take our booking without Indian visa. Travel agents are aware that timing of visa application from Indian consulate is unreliable and that we are not likely to get ours in time. :o

Actually we don't much care if we don't visit India. It would be better if Athens is an overnight stop. ;) Hope Azamara would consider a change.

Do others, from Australia or otherwise, have Indian visa probles?

Not sure where you live in Australia, or how much time you have left before the proposed cruise. However, we had no problems in obtaining our Indian visas from the authorities in Perth in 2009....everything sorted out within less than a week, although we had allowed several months, just in case. The interesting thing was that, even though we had our visas, we still had to line up with everyone else on Azamara Quest for about 45 minutes in order to have our passports stamped by several different Indian officials before we reached Mumbai.

Nevernever
