MonaCD Posted November 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2010 Apparently the Queen Mary's visit on the weekend spelled the end of this year's cruise season in Halifax. I'm sure most Haligonians & Nova Scotians would join me in thanking all you cruisers and it sure makes coming here to the forums to help you plan your time here worhtwhile. http://www.metronews.ca/halifax/local/article/679631--cruising-to-the-tune-of-50-million
PennyAgain Posted November 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2010 I adore visiting Halifax and have made many trips there and have rented cottages in Nova Scotia. A brillaint way to avoid Texas summers! Thanks to all for the wonderful hospitality!
lannp Posted November 8, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2010 I was aboard the QM2, thanks for the nice weather. I noticed since my last visit two years ago they have moved the statue of Samuel Cunard closer to the cruise terminal. My only complaint is he should be looking out to sea, since when his Cunard ships sail past he has his back to them.
