justcruising Posted February 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2005 Hello, I was looking at a couple of cruises that go to Tortola, and was wondering if it is reasonable to take the ferry to Virgin Gorda, and then take the ferry to Anegada? I saw some information on taking the ferry from Virgin Gorda, but there was no mention of the time involved; I didn't know if an excursion to Anegada would be out of the question, since the cruise ship would only be docked until 5pm or so... Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

1kycat Posted March 11, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2005 I looked into how to get to Anegada when our ship visited Tortola as well. And IMO….I would forget it. It’s just a little too far away. It’s about 15-20 miles north of any of the other BVI’s. As far as I know, there is no ferry service to Anegada…and that may be because there are only about 250 people who live there. There are flights that leave road town daily (about $160 RT)…but the schedules that I saw would not get you back in time. You can check with Clair Aero Service (284-495-2271) if you like. If your heart is set on it…I would check into chartering a boat.
justcruising Posted March 11, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted March 11, 2005 Thanks for the responses. Considering Tortola/Virgin Gorda as a possible target itinerary on a cruise, and was wondering if I should consider Anegada as an option, or look elsewhere.
