New RCI cruiser..couple of questions

We're cruising on the Navigator July 10, and really looking forward to it. My kids want to do the ice skating--do they have to wear pants, or can my girls wear capris? My son is hoping he can just wear his shorts.

Also, I procrastinated in signing up for the Dolphin excursion through RCI, and it says to "check on board"--will there be spaces available, so that if I check on it right after getting on board, my kids will be able to do it? I tried going through [url="http://www.cozumelinsider.com--they"]www.cozumelinsider.com--they[/url]'re booked, too. Any other places to check?

Your son will need to bring pants. Capris could be "iffy", depending on how short they actually are (for some reason, the capris they're selling this year out here in CA are much shorter than the ones I bought last year...). I would probably just bring one pair of jeans along, just to be on the safe side.
As far as the excursion goes, I don't know for sure, but my guess would be that it is being wait-listed right now, so checking about it as soon as you board would be a good idea...

as far as the shore excursion, check as soon as you are onboard. usually when it says check on board, that means that they have sold out the number of spots they allow for pre-sale booking via the internet. while they cannot completely sell out an excursion through the internet, they only leave very few spots open for those who sign up on board. i would say if you really want to do that excursion, make sure it is the first thing you do when you get onboard. try arriving to the ship when they first allow you onboard.
